The Tiger And The Duke was born fall 2007 in the wake of a hardcore band featuring guitarist Eric Bluebaum and keyboardist Chris Warman. When the two had formed with drummer Colin Pauley and bassist Jake Smith there were no preconceived ideas of what music they wanted to play nor dreams of becoming the next big genre specific trend setters. What emerged was an eruption of sounds that came directly from the musician's soul and to this day the concept of pure collectivity still rings loud and clear. The Tiger And The Duke is inspired and compared to names such as American Football, Explosions In The Sky, Mewithoutyou, Pink Floyd, Dear and the Headlights, Tera Melos, and many others too plentiful to name. They are known for their live performance to be one of unmistakable power and euphoria.
