Club 3VOOR12 Den Haag vindt op zaterdag 3 september voor de 22e keer plaats in het Paardcafé in Den Haag. Vanaf 20.00 uur zijn er optredens The Consolers, Nature In A Box en The Tonomats. De avond wordt afgesloten door de nieuwe formatie GardenFest. De presentatie van de clubavond is in de vertrouwde handen van Tim Hofman.
Eén van de topacts van Plein Open 2011 was toch wel The Tonomats. Met hun instrumentale surfmuziek wisten de heren het Spuiplein helemaal plat te spelen. Iets dat ze in september 2010 ook al deden in de Zwarte Ruiter tijdens de presentatie van hun debuutalbum ‘Panoramic 200’. Zowel de instrumenten als de looks van de bandleden zijn helemaal jaren ’60, waarmee het plaatje helemaal compleet is.

Influences: Rock & Roll, Country and Blues
Brothers Sander and Merijn Bus (lead guitar, bass) grew up next to a Tonomat-jukebox, in which surf classics alternated with other music from the 50s ands 60s. With this, a big part of the bands inspiration was born. As lead guitarist Sander plays a big role in the typical 60s reverb sound of the fully instrumental band.
Rhythm guitarist Fox Martin joined the band in 2011. His rhythm sections guarantee a real energy explosion
on stage.
Newest band member Karel Dops takes care of those catchy Surf grooves on drums.
In september 2010 THE TONOMATS released their debut album: Panoramic 200.
It consisted of their own work (6 tracks) as well as some well known guitar classics.
The second album will be released in 2012. This one will be completely filled with new material, of course predominated by the typical authentic sound.
Booking THE TONOMATS will guarantee you of an energetic live show. Using as much authentic instruments
as possible, and clad in appropriate gear they will deliver a real 60s experience for crowds of all ages.
