The Transistor Arkestra formed in 2008 in Baix Camp, Tarragona. Initially the project was Paul Gonzalez to which were added various musicians from the music scene such as Pablo Vidal Tarragona, Josep M. Pont and Joe Broadhurst. The musical approach of The Transistor Arkestra includes the union of elements of electroacoustic music with sounds that drink from the rock, the result is a hybrid sound that mixes touches of many styles: jazz, tropicalia, psychedelia, post-punk and futuristic electronics.
The Transistor Arkestra have been selected as semifinalists PROYECTO DEMO 2010, organized by Spain's National Radio, Radio 3 and the International Festival of Benicassim (FIB).
They have also performed at the festival PALMFEST 2010, Hospitalet de l'Infant, Tarragona. As part of this festival, the radio program Captain Demo RNE Radio 3 The Transistor Arkestra invited to perform an acoustic concert broadcast live.
The Transistor Arkestra also have been the winners of Tarragona Designation of Origin (DO Tarragona 2010), Tarragona Award of 2010 in Modern Music to participate in the upcoming final competition Catalonia Designation of Origin 2011 (OJ CAT).
In the month of November, The Transistor Arkestra have been invited to present a new show phonovisual based on experimental electronic sounds organic rhizomatic in the Festival of Visual Arts II: thought, image, processing and testing, EAR Plec 2 to be held at the Teatro Metropol de Tarragona.
