"OHA Battle Of The Bands (2008)"

"...The Transit Message played four songs of well-crafted alt-rock with strong leads and real enthusiasm. Songs such as "The ‘If' in Your Life” resonated with the audience and showed that this six-piece Edmond band, which will compete in the Bishop McGuinness battle of the bands later this month, is one to watch..." -George Lang - The Daily Oklahoman

"The Transit Message Alters Each Show"

"With a new lead singer, a hang-out-with-us attitude, great music and an effort to get everyone involved, The Transit Message creates an up beat experience." -Chris Colberg - The Daily Oklahoman

"OHA Battle of the Bands (2009)"

"The Transit Message took the stage with force, their fans were crowd surfing and they closed the show with a high energy performance." - Road Crew Magazine

The Sharpie Demos - EP (July 2008)
Hey, New Kid! - EP (April 2009)

The Transit Message officially became The Transit Message in the spring of 2007 with the decision of dawning this name. After that, the group began to write music and play shows around the OKlahoma City area and working very hard to gain a legitimate local fan base. In early 2008, the group added guitarist, Ben Renfrow, giving them the ability to compose much edgier guitar riffs and hooks.
Near the end of 2008, the group made its final addition with vocalist, Tim Burgess who gave the boys a much more dynamic range vocally and melodically. Also, as Burgess now writes the majority of the lyrics, The Transit Message now is able to write songs that have substance and truly can connect with their listeners.
On Valentine's Day, 2009, the sextet went into the studio to record their debut EP, "Hey, New Kid!" which is now in post production and set to be released in spring of this year.
As the title of the five song EP suggests, The Transit Message really is the "new kid" in the school of the music scene. They are continuing to make friends and widen their base of listeners and working hard as ever at everything that they do.
Be ready for these guys. They are a message in transit, and they're going places.
