Bio

The Trauma Club started with a singer (Jon Kyle) in El Paso Texas. Having a reputation for writing amazing songs and playing along side At The Drive In, He was offered the opportunity to record some demos at the Swing House in Hollywood, California.

Jon 27 (vocals/guitar) In fact, it was the little Pro-tools room at Swinghouse in Hollywood where the band was formed. “I began recording initial tracks that would evolve into The Trauma Club’s debut EP.

Jason 24 (guitar) and Jon Kyle were longtime friends and band mates, meeting in Jon’s hometown of El Paso. Jason received a call from Jon just after settling into a new apartment in Portland OR. “It was really funny. Jon said, “You have to come to Los Angeles to record in a new band.”
“Are you kidding me? I just moved up here,” was Jason’s response. After a long pause, Jason told Jon he’d be there next week. Thinking back, Jason says “I should’ve at least asked Jon to send me demos. I didn’t know what the new stuff would sound like. I just knew that I love to make music with Jon.”

Robin 23 (Bass) assisted Producer/Engineer Warren Huart while recording the initial demos. “The first time I heard Robin play drums, that was it” Said Kyle. “I asked Robin if he wanted to play drums in a band with no name … . I told him that I knew some people.” In fine English form, Robin replied, “Yes, I think I’d like to do that.” After a cross country tour, Robin decided to switch to bass, lucky for him, Daniel is a phenomenal Drummer as well as bassist.

Daniel 21(Drums) was another longtime friend of Jon’s from Albequerque. Daniel had watched Jon grow as a musician and always loved Jons musical Style. It helped that Daniel is an incredible bassist and drummer. Daniel was torn because all he wanted to do is play with The Trauma Club, but had another band commitment in Los Angeles. Daniel played TTC for his mom and she was floored. She told him he had to play in TTC! Thanks Mom.

ReStart Records Jim Ward of the legendary At The Drive In, and Sparta has had his eye on Jon’s music for a long time. When Jon played the demo’s for Jim he wanted in. The New EP is released on Sparta’s Restart Records.

The Trauma Club has just completed their 1st 50 date national tour which went over better than expected. The band sold enough merchandise to nearly break even, if it wasn’t for the RV catching on Fire on the Jersey turnpike.
