The Travelers was formed by original members Norman Wright & Kevin Church in 1991, after leaving the world renowned Charlie Waller & The Country Gentlemen. After a long hiatus, the band reformed in 2010, adding John Miller on guitar/vocals, and Mike Conner on bass/vocals, and they continue to innovate and create new music and new sounds while staying true to their bluegrass roots. Members of The Travelers have toured with Doyle Lawson, J D Crowe, The Country Gentlemen, Alison Krauss, Tony & Wyatt Rice, Harley Allen, Herschel Sizemore, Kenny Baker, Jimmy Martin, and numerous others as sidemen, and now they combine that experience into their own unique sound.
