Bio

The Travezty

The Travezty, which consists of Jason Ilczynski (lead guitar), his brother Brad (bass guitar), Danny Douglas (rhythm guitar), Jason Robison (drums) and Scott Robinson (vocals) have been rocking clubs around Western Canada for five years. In comparison to other bands in the industry, The Travezty possesses an impressive resume. Since forming as a band, The Travezty have been able to put out two solid independent releases as well as finishing up the recording of their third album.

The first release“Searchin” was recorded and self-produced at Sundae Studios in Calgary, AB and the first single “Reason Given” was retired as 10-night Showdown Champ on Medicine Hat's MY96 FM. The band was also named Southern Alberta's finalist in the C-Plus Nation-Wide Talent Search with this album release.

In the spring of 2003. The group headed back into the studio, The Travezty released their six song EP “Empty Conversations” (recorded and co-produced with Endre Lukacsy at Night Deposit Studios in Calgary, AB) and the result was powerful melodies, heart-bounding riffs and the band's most polished work yet in their musical career. The release of the EP landed the band supporting roles with the likes of The Watchmen, The Headstones, 54/40, The Smalls, Tom Cochrane, Wide Mouth Mason, and Prism.

With the success of the EP, The Travezty have written more solid tunes, harder hitting lyrics and guitars matched with drums that solidify their presence in the independent music industry as one of the hardest working bands today.

The Travezty's is scheduled to release their latest album in early 2007. The disc is the most highly anticipated work from the group to date. Co-produced by Brandon Friesen (Juno-award winning producer from Studio 11 Inc, Winnipeg, MB) and Danny Craig (of Juno-award winning group Default) at Greenhouse Studios in Burnaby, BC, The Travezty's latest work will make higher waves in the industry than ever before.

Currently the group is hard at work putting the finishing touches to the latest project, the new website, the new disc, as well as new tour dates scheduled, the band will make an explosive impact on the independent scene in 2007.
