The Trombettas formed in the fall of 2003, in Akron, OH. The band has five members and incorporates drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals to create its unique style of Rock n Roll. The band has been described as post-rock as well as no-wave and been compared to such disparate acts as Rod Stewart, the Talking Heads, Interpol and the Doors. The Trombettas pride themselves on
their energized and eclectic live sets. The band members have wide ranging compositional influences from minimalism to jazz, from big band to punk, from rock to pop, all of which can be heard in the original songs the band composes, which form the backbone of the band's repertoire. Currently, The Trombettas are recording at Lava Room Recording Studios in Cleveland, OH. The band plans to play shows around the mid-west in the spring and promote their EP.
