Bio

The Troubadours are Jake Mathews, Wyatt Easterling, and Duane Steele. Between them, they have won and/or been nominated for Country Music Awards (CCMA in Canada and CMA in the USA), and JUNO Awards, Not to mention they have all co-written with the whos who of Country and Americana music.

The evening is similar to a festival workshop stage three singers on the stage at once, taking turns to lend voice to their delightfully varied experiences and observations. This will be a fascinating evening where improvisation and spontaneity abound. This fun atmosphere encourages informal interplay and camaraderie among performers and audience alike.

Jake Mathews is a Canadian country artist with a unique combination of a traditional and modern sound. Jake has enjoyed great success at radio with numerous top 20 hits and has received several Canadian Country Music Award nominations. His outstanding sophomore album Time After Time garnered national critical acclaim and was awarded Album of the Year by Country Music News. Jake released his last album titled Red Tail Lights in July, 2011 through OnRamp Records/EMI. The first single If I Had It My Way spent an incredible 36 weeks on the charts and reached #9 on the BDS chart. Duane Steele has been mainstay on Canadas country charts since 1993, Hines Creek, AB native, Duane Steele is a self assured, engaging performer, connecting one-on-one with his audience both on a record and on stage. He continues to grace the country music scene with his traditional country style and undeniable singing and songwriting talent. Duane has also been a regular presence at the CCMA and Juno awards with a total of 15 nominations from 1996 to date. Other Artists who have recorded Duanes music include, Sammy Kershaw, Gord Bamford, Poverty Plainsmen, Eli Barsi, Lisa Hewitt, and Jamie Warren. www.duanesteele.com

Wyatt Eastering - originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, his music reflects the storytelling tradition that defines that part of the country's musical heritage. Wyatts intricate guitar work and smooth voice immediately pull in the listener and take us through poignant stories taken from the world that surrounds each of us. From the title track to his duet with Jessi Colter Jennings ("Sounds Like Life to Me") Wyatts album, Where This River Goes, is a collection of masterfully crafted songs with captivating melodies and lyrics that always hit home.
