"True Love Rules"

"pop gems, including Backstreets Thread and True Love Rules. Marsh is keen on experimenting, so there's the fascinating Move You Around, which features surf guitar and Eddie Cochran rockabilly, as it would have sounded on David Bowie's Low album. Nav Com Tav is a sailor chant-meets-Disney Halloween "
-Bob Mersereau, Telegraph-Journal - Telegraph-Journal

"Dave Marsh Rules"

"Dave Marsh is a gifted songwriter and his fixation on edgy pop rock has yielded the best record from Halifax’s over-30 set in years.. punk, glam rock, new wave and folk colliding beautifully...70s era Bowie are all over “Darling You, Nothing Else Matters” and “Move You Around.” "
-Vish Khanna, Exclaim! - Exclaim! magazine

"2 Nominations for True Love Rules"

" A big congratulations to Dave for his smokin’ record “The True Love Rules” being nominated for both Rock Recording and Male Solo Recording of the Year. I’m as proud of my involvement in that record as I am my own."
-Joel Plaskett, joelplaskett.com - Joel Plaskett .com

"Dave Marsh ,The True Love Rules"

"Dave Marsh, The True Love Rules (New Scotland) Bursting from behind the Emergency skins, Marsh reveals mad guitar chops and a kinship with everyone from Jimmy Webb to Slade. This mature and reflective album morphs into a colossal stomper live, as on Natal Day weekend at Alderney Landing."
-Doug Taylor, the coast - The Coast

Bio

Dave Marsh has just received two nominations at the East Coast Music Awards ; for Rock Recording of the Year , and Male Solo Recording of the Year . Both are the result of his first solo album , The True Love Rules , which has received considerable critical praise . The music is as far reaching as the influences of a long career as a gigging and recording musician from New York to London to Toronto . Some hear echoes of Bowie and Reed , others mention a unique east coast flavour to the album . Hear for yourself at www.davemarsh.ca .
