Bio

Brought together Eric Peterson in Victoria British Columbia, this country band is tearing up stages from west to east.

Live, and kicking true stories of the modern day outlaw, hard workin’, hard lovin’, hard leavin’, hawg ridin’, truck drivin’, guitar playin’, knee slappin’, bo and luke duke hood slidin',son of gun, kinda music… with a few extra sweet slow ones to go....

A Little about the Boys:

The Turnpike Bandits are made up of a group of some of the most talented people i have had the pleasure to play with. A man of many musical instruments, our bass player Shane Hunt is an outstanding example of musicianship. He can pretty much play any instrument he picks up and not only that but plays them well. He is one of the main components to a solid backbone to the band and one of the original three.

The second of the original three is Luke (love) Phillips. Another fine musician who's diverse musical influences has blessed the Turnpike Bandits since the beginning. Another Ontario boy in the crew, Luke plays a strong and colorful rhythm guitar with the occasional sneak in of inspiring leads that fire it up just a little for the TPB's continuously growing sound.

How can you not mention the talent of this next musician.

Our Backbone to our band is Matt Stockman. The drummer must be able to adapt, maintain, create, lead and follow all at the same time. Matt is that guy. anything thrown at him has been returned 10 times better than we could imagine. solid driving drums that keep this ol' truck just a haulin' is our man Matt.

How can I talk about The Turnpike Bandits with out talking about our new addition to the band. Karl Oystensen is perhaps one of the best Keyboard players i have listened to in a long time. Joining the band in the year 2008/09 Karl has brought an amazing amount of talent and energy to this already rockin country machine... NEW MUSICIANS ADDED!! Karl has moved to Vancouver now and will join us as a special guest for some of our bigger shows....BUT! we are happy to introduce a new addition to our band... Ray, our new pedal steel slide player whos sound is as pure country as you will get.

As for me, Eric Peterson. Well i write and sing the songs. try to sneak in some leads here and there and bang out the rhythm's for the boys to fill up with good ol' fashion down home rockin' country music we like to call...The Turnpike Bandits.
