"The Twin - ST EP"

THE TWIN
S/T

Don't make the mistake in thinking The Twin is just another metal band; they are not ankle deep. Instead, the band play a combination of great hardcore and rock. The screaming is brutal and the breakdowns are raw, but it's the clean vocals that really attract the most attention. The singing of The Twin sounds a bit like '90s alternative, which works oddly very well and adds to the band's original sound. The instrumentation is also impressive and not generic like with most heavy acts these days. "KingdomHeart" feels like the best combination of everything The Twin plays with, while "III" is the most diverse sounding track. "You're Never Alone" feels a bit like Every Time I Die with it's more 'crazy' approach, but it's "Another Trip To Amsterdam" that really steals the spotlight with its breakdowns and vocal arrangements. From its misleading start to atmospheric ending, The Twin surprises and pleases. This record should really be experienced.

Bio

The Twin is a musical phenomenon with a plethora of genres, creating a sound that can hardly be compared to many modern day metal acts. They spawn from Canada in the small town of Cambridge within the southern depths of Ontario. No matter what music you listen to, there's no denying the fact that these four fellows can have you dancing off your feet; bringing on the mosh, or singing your hearts out. From catchy rock-anthem like hooks, to "edge of your seat" build-ups and breakdowns; they are more than just a band, they are a cereal bowl full of experimental and progressive mayhem. As pseudo bands get weeded out by lack of showmanship, professionalism and overall togetherness, The Twin wants to prove once and for all that best friends can create any sense of well-being through the power of music.
The Twin will always leave you wanting more. Like a story from start to finish: This is a book to be read over and over.
