The Twisted Pair Show

The material performed is based in classic rock but easily segues into country, pop, blues, and oldies, with even some disco or hard rock/metal as well. They are just as comfortable playing a show tailored to a laid-back lounge environment or to a loud lively dancing bar. A list of artists covered is included, however, new material is continually added and based largely upon audience requests. Tya and Andy are both strong individual vocalists that also blend into lush harmonies. Andy is an accomplished guitarist filling the musical space with both lead and rhythm parts. Backing bass and drums are provided as needed by the pair’s own computer MIDI emulation to ensure authentic sound and feel, definitely not a limp karaoke sound. The result is a powerful presentation on a par with the best bands without excessive sound pressure levels, or spatial burden.

Tya and Andy combined their talents and experience again early in 2007 as they had worked together in a rather short-lived band several years prior. After that band’s demise Tya found herself getting married and having a child (in that order mind you). Andy found himself in the highly successful “Freedom Rock Band”. He also currently directs his church’s Praise Band and teaches guitar. Besides working in a number of bands over the past 20 years, Andy had also been a solo performer so when Tya announced that she wanted to sing again, together they set out to produce this unique duet act, and have continued to exceed expectations ever since.
