First up was The Ultimate Sellout Band, coming off a gig at Seattle’s Hard Rock Café. These guys are a straight up Classic Rock cover band who do songs right off the KZOK playlist. They have a drummer with the cojonés to take on Neil Peart in a spot on rendition of The Spirit of Radio. Sadly, they came in third as several of them couldn’t stick around to vote for themselves: The guitarist also plays in an Alice In Chains tribute band called Jar Of Flies, and this Wednesday night would have been singer Layne Stayley’s 45th birthday.
