Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh

C/F verse & change is F/G

By the time I get to Pittsburgh, she’ll be gone c/f
She’ll be driving her old Chevy after dawn am/g/c
Oooh, My nights are all alone f/g/c
Oooh, my thoughts are my own f/g/c
But, darling, don’t despair f/g
I’ll find your soul somewhere f/g
Your’e Not Alone c

By the time I get to D.C., she’ll be alone
She’ll be waiting for the ringing of the phone
Oooh, so much that I could say
Oooh, no words can heal the pain
But, honey, don’t be down
I coming to turn you around
Your’e not alone

Bridge: Am/G/F/C/Am/G/F/C

Not so long ago we were deep in love Am/G
Writing our names in the sand f/c
We walked for miles by a lonely… sea Am/G/F/G
The wind in our face. our backs to fate Am/G
We never thought it could end F/C
But neither one of us had the strength to see F/G

By the time I get to Richmond, she’ll be there C/F
Sitting on her old lady’s lawn chair Am/G/C
Oooh, I’ve traveled so long
Oooh, I’ve treated her so wrong
But, baby, hold me tight
I have come home to make it right
Your’e not alone, Your’e not alone
Your’e not alone (sotto voce)

Bride of the Wilderness

Written By: Paul Carden & Tom Hood

BRIDE OF THE WILDERNESS
(D/C/G

I LIVE DOWN IN THE VALLEY
NEAR THE RIVER’S EDGE
I WENT TO FIND MY LOVE
IN THE WOODS AHEAD
BUT THE INDIANS WERE THERE BEFORE ME
AND THEY TOOK EVERYTHING WE HAD
WE HEARD THEY TOOK HER INLAND (in C)
TO THE TRIBAL LANDS OUT WEST (G/D)
BECAUSE THE ONLY ONE LEFT ALIVE
WAS THE BRIDE OF THE WILDERNESS

I TRAVELLED TO THE WEST
AND THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN STREAMS
I SEARCHED FOR HER EVERYWHERE
I SWORE I HEARD HER SCREAMS
THE MOUNTAINMEN WHO SAW HER
SAID SHE WAS STILL ALIVE
SHE ESCAPED THE IROQUOIS (IN C)
AND MANAGED TO SURVIVE (G/D)
BECAUSE THE ONLY ONE LEFT ALIVE
WAS THE BRIDE OF THE WILDERNESS

BRIDGE: ( Am/F/Am/F/Am/F/C/G/D )
LONG, LONG, LONG AGO
I HELD HER IN MY ARMS
RAVEN HAIR, SKIN SO FAIR
I LONGED FOR HER CHARMS
I SEE HER FACE, SO BEAUTIFUL
THEN FADED FROM MY VIEW
FAR AWAY FAR AWAY FAR AWAY

TWO YEARS HAD PAST MY LIFE
AND I THOUGHT ID LOST THE TRAIL
WHEN I MADE IT TO NEW MEXICO
COS’ I HEARD SHE WAS IN JAIL
AND WHEN I FINALLY FOUND HER
SHE WAS HARD AND TRIED
BUT HER EYES STILL REMEMBERD ME ( IN C)
I KNEW OUR SOULS WERE TIED (G/D)
BECAUSE THE ONLY ONE LEFT ALIVE
WAS THE BRIDE OF THE WILDERNESS

THE ONLY ONE I EVER LOVED WAS THE BRIDE OF THE WILDERNESS
THE ONLY ONE I EVER KNEW WAS THE BRIDE OF THE WILDERNESS
THE ONLY ONE I EVER WANTED WAS THE BRIDE OF THE WILDERNESS…..

Cry in The Dark

Cry in the Dark
Written by Paul Carden & Tom Hood

Can’t you hear me baby
Outside your front door
You just told me, darling
Don’t come round no more

You broke my heart
And that’s no lie
I don’t care anymore
I just wanna die

That’s why I cried in the dark
You know I cried in the dark

It may be midnight, baby
And it may be three
There’s a full out ,honey
Hanging over me

You broke my heart
And that’s no lie
I don’t care anymore
I just wanna die

That’s why I cried in the dark
You know I cried in the dark

Hell, now baby, I don’t wanna lose
I just wanna be close, so close to you
I’m not a stubborn kind of guy
But I can’t let go tonight,
No,I just can’t let go tonight

That’s why I cried in the dark
You know I cried in the dark
I cried in the dark
You know I cried in the dark
