Bio
Alternative, new wave, trip-hop and rock, that’s where duo Unsound falls, somewhere in between the four, combining electronic & acoustic instruments. Unsound is about as contradictory as it gets, merging abrasive electro and upfront attitude with addictive melodies and punk rock attitude. Yet somehow it all works. Both Remi and Sylvester were always involved with music in one way or another. Even though they are brothers they never played with each other. Remi dedicated most of his musical life to the punk scene and the successful experimental punk band The Skabs. After seven years of playing, recording and touring group parted ways. Post Skabs, Remi began a new project En La Olla a polish-latin punk rock band. Meanwhile Sylvester fronted a new wave group, and following months of recording and shows band had separated. Next Sylvester was on a mission with a hard-rock band called Garage. Only when family members urged the brothers to combine their talents, in fall of 2002 Unsound came to life. Influenced by music such as new wave, punk, trip-hop, electronica they began their new project. Combining different instruments such as guitar, bass and voice with electronic keyboards, samplers, sequencers and drum machines have allowed Unsound, for all intensive purposes, to remain just that: two people who have total control over the process of writing as well as performing. A fantastic mix of moody, dark, sleaze, pessimism and great song-writing.
