Bio

It might be a cold night for alligators in Texas, but here in Copenhagen its a hot dawn for ghouls and ghoulettes. Its the dawn of the long awaited sequel to The Untamed's debut album, "Eerie Stories", which established the three headed twang monster as one of Denmark's most exciting combos both on wax and at the live venues in Northern Europe.

Sequels are usually weaker than the original, but "Strange Unknown" improves on already documented triumphs and conquests as the thirteen rock'n'roll nitro parasites eat their way into your defenceless skull. The unholy threesome are seasoned creatures of the Copenhagen rock'n'roll and punkrock scene (The Burnouts, Hellvis Deadly, Jetsons etc.) but age sure hasn’t mellowed our fun loving fiends. Nope, the sound is meaner, rawer and more carnivorous; literally, just listen to the first single "The Cannibal King", a track so fierce Reverend Horton-Heat would've sold his soul and sideburns to write an equal. Marco Burro's scorching guitar tears new assholes in the ozone layer, yet his singing and hollering has never sounded more superior and catchy. His wife Helle Hellcat's pile driving bass erupts in volcanic explosions, and Jakob's rabid caveman voodoo drums perfectly completes this lethal rhythm section. Hell, he even shows his talents on the piano on a couple of tracks this time (“Monster Under My Bed”, “Nocturnal Girl”) which neatly broadens the already busy aural sonic assault of this demonic entity.

Basically the tunes are stronger, sexier and more memorable than ever; a rare rawk'n'roll treat for any radio DJ worth his or her salt. At the helm of this top-notch production is the always reliable Ralph A. Rjeily of Black Tornado Studio which previously has created raunchy magic with the likes of Baby Woodrose, On Trial, Screamin' Eric, W.E.E.D. etc. There's something for everyone who is exposed to The Untamed which has become a major live favourite that packs the clubs with beer guzzling psychobillies, punks, headbangers, garagerockers, goth chicks....just about anybody with a pulse who's bored with the bland fakers of Squaresville and wants the REAL unclean hoodoo thang. This is a postcard from the grave to the followers of Link Wray and The Cramps, get ready to do the savage jungle hop with The Untamed - its a hot dawn for the strange unknown, yes, THE CAT IS BACK!!!
