The Valentinos are basically Bev Valentino on Drums and Liamo on vocals and guitar. Together, they trade in a raw blend of grunge, funk and punk that also juxtaposes graphic lyrics with cuddlesome melodies. 'Lip Liquor' has sinuous guitar figures, a dynamite vocal and a loping, infectious groove. 'Lessons In Lust' is a fine slab of grunge with a quality melody and stark vocals which that genre doesn't always do well, with Bev (short for Bevin, not Beverley) driving the track along. 'Southpaw Sucker' has a brooding, menacing air and raw guitars propelling a song that delivers some classy expletives too. - Hot Press

The Valentinos have been jamming, recording and gigging around Dublin since March 2009, playing regularly in venues such as Whelan's, Le Cirque, The Village, Fibber's and Radio City, and also further afield - the likes of The Stables in Mullingar and The Leitrim Lounge, Co.Wicklow.
They have been receiving a fantastic response to their grungey funk sounds and are looking forward to recording their debut album and doing a lot more gigging over the summer of 2011.
Krist Novoselic is a fan - earlier this year he posted one of the rough jams they had put on Youtube to his Twitter page, saying 'This rocks!!!!'
