What started out as 2 sisters performing acoustic sets in small venues around London 5 years ago led the band to become a four piece known as the Velvetines. Not afraid to express their dirty little minds with 'Getcha' serving as their calling card, influences range from grunge rock (Pearl Jam, Sound Garden) before getting turned on by Prince and Nina Simone.
The vibrant energy and loud music is how the band resses what's inside of them. They like to dance and its all about the movement, the style and the vibe of a rampant, excited, audience.
Playing over 50 gigs in the last year alone, the band have played alongside outstanding acts like The Priscilla's, Boxer Rebellion and McQueen.
Livening up the existing, ever growing scene with raw, relentless energy, they entertain and captivate from the very moment they get on stage.
