I have rapped for many years, but now I realize that until I began rapping for Jesus Christ all lyrics before were meaningless.
What Motivated Me:
After receiving the Lord and promising to make the change I had to get rid of all secular music that offended the Lord (basically all my CD's). But I didn’t
fully yield to his will, because I left the music in Philly and went back to school in NC. Unknowingly when I came back my three younger sisters had taken my music out of my room and began listening to it while I was off at college. I realized I planted a seed through my disobedience and decided to break all my CD's; my sisters then wondered what they could listen to because all they knew was the average Rap and R&B music. That’s when it all began.
The Name:
One day I was MC-ing in church and after service the preacher pulled me aside and began to speak to me; he was telling me that as the master of ceremonies I have to get people ready to receive the word and basically set the atmosphere for the people to receive God. He told me that when I do this I have to do it with passion, "its like you are a vessel that the Lord is speaking through to prepare the people for Him".
