The Vets

The newest Hip-Hop rap group, the "The Vets", are stirring up the streets and attracting the attention of music critics everywhere with their new style of music, which shows they have what it takes to be the next top hip-hop/rap group in the game. They are definitely bringing a vibrant rhythm to the younger generation and anyone who can relate to their sound, including the young ladies.

Hailing from the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Kevin known as Kev-Gee$, Christian known as Chris Bars, and Isaiah Quinn aka Ike Ease are the young innovative Hip-Hop trio that makes up the The Vets. Their story is different and sets them apart from most up and coming artist. Between the ages of 7 and 10 is when this young trio discovered their Hip-Hop talent. Even after discovering this new found talent, rapping was put on hold for awhile during their early childhood. As a result of being occupied with sports from elementary school through high school and excelling in football & basketball, they didn't have enough time to explore the world of music.

Growing up watching and imitating groups like Kriss Kross, Immature and Kid & Play, the The Vets knew that they could also become one of the next great groups to be remembered in the Hip-Hop industry. So after graduating high school in 2006, Kev, Chris, and Ike knew it was time to live out their childhood dream and start making it a reality. Later on that same year, the Hip-Hop trio released their first mixtape on Veterans Day, which was highly successful and gained a lot of positive feedback.

As the years went on, the The Vets built a buzz throughout the city and they released another mixtape entitled “The Biggest Movie Ever”. After the release of this mixtape the TheVets career took off with them winning battles on Philly’s own 100.3 The Beat Radio station and also appearing on the station. They have become known around the city from performing at different shows, including the Philly Home Jams Live at the Tracadero. The Vets have decided to make their presence known not just in Philly, but around the country. Recently, they performed at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey & Atlanta, Clementon Amusement Park in New Jersey, and Clark Atlanta University in Georgia. With all of this traveling they also had the opportunity to network and work with artist like Atlantic Records own Young Steff, Desert Storms/CBL artist Freck Billionaire, and The Broad Street Music Group (Brian Michael Cox Music Group).

The Vets recently made their WorldStarHipHop.com debut with their video entitled “Paid Off”, which currently has 25,000 views and counting. They show no signs of slowing down and are always at the top of their game. New music and a new mixtape will be coming soon, so be on the look out for this young Hip-Hop Trio to bring a new sound and style of music to the industry.
