Formed in 2003 The Vibrance are an up and coming indie/Rock band. First of all let us introduce the members:
John Goodland (Piano,Vocals,Programming) - An outstanding pianist, with a very strong, soulful voice. The songs he writes have a remarkable depth, range and power. John has always been involved with music from a young age starting out with the violin (not piano) as his main instrument. John played in several national orchestras and was a music scholar at the age of 10. He studied Music Technology at University and then went on to self release an album of original compositions called 'End Of Days'. John's idol Dave Matthews whose band in the states has been one of the most influential and successful of the recent era has a big influence on his songwriting. Other influences range from:Ben Folds,Radiohead,The Beatles,Drew Smith,Coldplay,David Grey,Crowded House.
James Bertenshaw (Bass Guitar) - What more can be said about James other than that he is a hugely talented musician with a great mind for music. James originally began playing the Double Bass at college and then successfully made the transition to Bass Guitar. Since then he has gone on to take up Ukelele and write some great songs of his own.
Ian Slade - (Electric/Acoustic Guitar & Programming). Ian has a major part to play in The Vibrances' music making ventures. A brilliant guitarist Ian always thrives to write something different everytime. Ian's creativeness within his songwriting is clearly visable when his songs are performed by the band. His focus and determination in creating great music is part of what the band as whole stand for creating a diversity and range of music that sets them apart from other bands. His musical influences and passions range from breakbeat, flamenco, hip hop and rock, particularly with an alternative edge.
The Vibrance are still a new band as bands go, but they have created a style of their own that is forever evolving and progressing musically. They have written a surprisingly large repertoir of original material that continually growing.
