“The Vints are an acoustic duo that basically defines the phrase amazing song writing. Their acoustic blend of rock and southern soul makes the group stick out as one of Raleigh's best independent acts. There shows are personal and you feel like you are walking with them on their lyrical journey. To top it all off their blending of two acoustic guitars is so smooth you get lost in just listening to the riffs and notes. The Vints is a group that brings acoustic song writing back to the forefront of the Raleigh music scene.” - oneilrecords.com
“Raleigh duo The Vints comes at us with their debut, a four-song cycle--Sneaker, Scratch, Sing About It, and Sprawled--about the love bug, capped by two live cuts. I call it the "the love bug" because that's how lyricist Nick Pyll deals with it: Sometimes it drives him, but sometimes it just drives him crazy. It's major-chord acoustic ambrosia with big intentions, and it's infinitely inviting.” - independent weekly
“Nick Pyll and Kevin Wing of Raleigh’s acoustic-rock duo The Vints breathe new life into the somewhat washed out category of the singer-songwriter genre. Pairing major chord constructions with the slightest hint of Deep South twang renders their collaborations as raw and earthy, and their dusty-throated voices follow suit.” - independent weekly
“Raleigh acoustic balladeers the Vints nestle themselves in that nook where an occasional twang creeps into pop crooning, or where the Old 97s are considered indie rock. Finding that place is easy, though making it your own—which they seem to be doing—is much harder.”

Bio
One part whiskey, two parts love, and a splash of tears comprises the refreshing cocktail of the Vints debut effort. Songs about life and love mingle aspects of rock and country to form catchy, clever pop songs.
Nick Pyll and Kevin Wing played together in a couple of local bands before Nick unveiled a cache of songs he had been writing. The chemistry was immediate and the two began recording the next day in Kevin’s home studio.
The Vints have been featured in the local press, including the Indy Weekly and the Hatchet. Their songs have also received routine airplay on 100.7 FM, 96.1 FM, and 88.1 FM.
After releasing their debut album, Nick and Kevin hit the coffeeshops, bars, and sidewalks of North Carolina. Whether playing in an intimate setting or for larger crowds, the Vints consistently entertain with their energetic and charismatic live show. When performing for their hometown fans, the night becomes a drunken sing-along with humor to boot.
