The Vital Spark

Let’s recall a casual chat in a small town record shop, leading to odd glances through guitar catalogues followed by Christmas of 99 and Millennium bore a band. HAL began their dizzying decent into rock obscurity in those harsh winter months. What followed was a gig or two and then a name change. Song themes range from know-it-alls, people who think they know it all, being at the cinema listening to these people Knowing-it-all and zombies. In short, post punk angular guitar housing; essentially affectionate, completely addictive, on the whole up lifting. Resigned not to deal in navel gazing lyrics about dark rooms in the corner of your mind, instead lyrics that get to the point.
