"The Stars Were Shining"

The Wacaster Ministries, Sebring, Fl, was well represented by the Wacaster family, Darren, his wife Hope and son Matthew. Matthew, I would like to say, was backed by his mother and father. Matthew is a 12 year old bundle of talent who started singing with his family at the age of three. Matthew was the star of the Wacaster Ministries trio. Darren and Hope were excellent as well, but you know how it is with pets and kids, they are just so darned cute. http://www.thewacasterfamily.com"

Seriously, Matthew has a real future ahead of him. He reminded me of Joe Tinoco, who operates a show in Branson, Missouri, has Tinoco Productions and has made movies with Dolly Parton. Well, anyway, Joe started his career at about the age Matthew is now and went on to become extremely successful. Also, Matthew looks a bit like Joe. I will say, without an iota of doubt, that this kid is really going to go places he has not, in his wildest dreams, dreamt of.

"Artists To Watch In 2007"

Power Source reports on a survey by industry professionals that these artists have great potential for success. They certainly have the talent and hopefully the vision for success. Now what? How do you bring it all together in the world of music? Who has the kind of strength, the personality, and the unmistakable something that makes everyone believe in your talent. Who possesses the dedication and formula that can develop their talent into a successful living?
It all starts with a song, a great collection of songs and a good production is a must! The quality of music is most important, find those songs that take you somewhere and make you feel something. Power Source has chosen the following as the artists to watch in 2007. We have asked them to share a few lines about themselves and their plans for 2007.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
We ask ourselves, "Who I am to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?"
Actually, who are you not to be?
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us
And as we let our own light shine
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same..
First, Let’s Hear From Some Of The Veterans In Christian Country Music…
Terajay Music LLC (Chip Bricker, CEO): I believe the Inspirational Country Music Industry will try to become more competitive with the mainstream Country industry. I believe there is a place for us there, but we cannot be like them, there must be some separation. The mainstream industry has shown that they too can present a positive message and make it successful but where is the artist presenting it coming from? From “On The Wings Of A Snow White Dove” to “Jesus Take The Wheel,” Country music has adopted the positive Christ-centered message, but, have they lived it and shown it in their lives? There is a difference between the Inspirational Country industry and mainstream. As long as we maintain our main goal, then we can play in the same arena with the mainstreams but not play the same game. We at Terajay Music are trying to make our playing arena bigger, more accepted by the mainstream and the Church. As long as we keep our ministry first then our industry will continue to grow.
Tommy Brandt: I am honored to represent the Christian Country Music Association as their ICM Male Vocalist of the Year for 2007. Although awards are not what we seek, it is clear that they present larger platforms for us that help expand our ministry opportunities. Michelle and I plan to continue encouraging other artists to keep pressing on and keep Jesus first. We are looking forward to a great year in 2007! Each year our ministry continues to grow as God opens more avenues for us to share his grace and mercy with the lost. Most recently we have put together a team to start a “Cowboy Crusade” across America, which will begin the end of January with two events in central and northern Georgia. Our pastor Bill Mullis (fellow Christian Country Artist) and his wife Tonya are partnering with us to do these events. We will invite local artists to participate in the areas where these events are scheduled. Our passion is to reach the un-churched by holding crusades at neutral locations. We have had an overwhelming response from churches and businesses willing to sponsor these events and be a part of our vision.
Branded (Paul Staggs & Robert William Welch): Everyone wants to find a shortcut to the top. They want to find some hidden secret that will catapult you past all the rest and straight to the top. There are no shortcuts. The secret to success is no secret at all. Every believer has a calling on his or her life. It may be like Billy Graham to preach (or to sing) to millions of people around the world or it may be that your calling is to be the best parent possible to your kids. The secret is to do the right things for the right reasons. God knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts and He seeks out those whose hearts are tuned in to His. Find His calling for you and press toward the mark of His high calling. Do it with all your might as unto the Lord. And then, at the end of your life, you can look back and know that in God’s eyes (the only one that matters) that it was a successful one.
Rich McCready: 2006 has been an incredible and challenging year. In 2004 I stepped out to do my own thing, although I have had so much help along the way. I am currently leaving all my options open until the right situation comes along. My schedule has been packed solid since the release of "Clean Living Down The Old Dirt Road," "Intergalactic Cowboy," "Find That Feeling Again" and brand new "All I've Ever Known." The number one for "Clean Living" was truly a blessing in many ways. The other singles all charted on the music row charts. I am excited about 2007 and what the New Year holds. We are booking shows up into December of next year. I will be recording a new project early in 20 - Power Source Magazine

Bio

"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:5-7 NAS
Who is The Wacaster Family? Their a family who loves Jesus and is dedicated to bringing the Gospel to the world thru their music and their testimony.
Cousin to the legendary Bill Anderson, Darren’s a gifted vocalist, songwriter, and musician. Darren is a walking testimony in knowing what it is to come out of a destructive lifestyle and then find Christ. Darren says, His plan is to tell as many people about what Christ has done for him as the Lord will allow. Hope is a gifted pianist and vocalist and her beautiful voice has enabled her to share the stage with The Singing Cooke’s and The Hemphill’s. Hope started singing on stage with her family at age five. Her dad was a Church of God Pastor for 38 years so the ministry is something she is accustom to. Hope’s dad has since past on but left a legacy of ministry in her.

At age 14, it’s no surprise Matthew has followed in his parent’s footsteps developing a powerful voice of his own. Matthew started singing on stage at age three and has already developed a vocal well beyond his years. He has truly been blessed and anointed by God. He has had the opportunity to perform the National Anthem, at many civic and sports events showcasing the natural talent God has blessed him with. Kurt L. Moore writes (Matthew has a real future ahead of him. They just released there first single (How Did It Feel?) Vol. 117 by Higgins Music Group to radio which is currently at #11 in the top 100 Christian Country Charts. Their prayer is that this will open many doors for them to bring the message; God has given them, to the world. The Wacaster Family currently perform at fairs, churches (of most Denominations) civic events, out side events and many others. Most Churches as of now are done on a love offering basis; other events will have a fee applied unless otherwise arranged.
