The Wakening
The wakening are: Jeff Harrison - Guitar, vocals and songwriter, Troy McEachern – Bass, Lucas Jardine – Drums. We are from rural Nova Scotia. The Band plays original energetic rock tunes and melodic slow songs about life , love, and yes even a bit of political riff.
In 2008 they came out with their first EP called Helpless that had tunes like My Heroes and Broken which was chosen for a compilation CD along with bands from all over the world for a rare liver disease. CD was produced by Quickstar productions out of Baltimore USA. Songs off the EP where also featured on the James Maddison Radio show in New York and James was quoted as saying “the Wakening is one of my all time favorites ”.
The Wakening have been playing in local clubs and are creating a following of loyal supporters. They have played at Bluesfest and Riverfest in Nova Scotia and have played with Big Deal, Jon McKeil and many others. Jeff has also been playing his songs at various song writers circles in Halifax, Amherst and Parrsboro and are booked this year again at the bluesfest and the Greenfestival in New Brunswick.
The Wakening are headed back into the studio to create their best work to date with tunes like Rock’n’rollercoaster that get you up off your chair or the mellow side of Could’ve Been. You do not want to miss this band or their new songs.
