The Wandering

Comprised of a trio of humble musicians hailing from their hometown of Denver, Colorado, “The Wandering” consists of a sound packed with dynamically diverse transitions bridging gaps between the sparse but heavily melodious and meaningful lyrical verses. Inpired by a range of musical genres as broad as the Rocky Mountains (where they also gain much of their inspiration) the unique sound of “The Wandering” can be enjoyed by music lovers of all likes. One critic from the Colorado Music Buzz defined their sound as “a meandering soundscape of guitar-laden melodies backed by the thundering roar of a rhythm section as pure and smooth as Cream in the ‘70’s.”

The members of “The Wandering” are all self trained musicians, each bringing their own blend of essential musical elements to the table. Benjamin Van Horne (guitarist/lead vocals/songwriter) draws most of his lyrical inspiration from the idea that there is much more to life than simply living the day to day. Instrumentally, Benjamin’s influences range from rock to jazz greats both modern and classic. Jesse Darrow (bassist/vocals) digs on the bass lines of iconic figures like Victor Wooten. Brandon Grange, (drums/percussion) draws influence from such percussive masters as Carter Beauford and Neal Pert.

Influences aside, “The Wandering” is a powerful rock trio that is sure to have some influence of its own on the burgeoning music scene of Colorado. Keep your eyes and especially your ears open because they are sure to be 'Wandering' to a venue near you in the not so distant future.
