The War Vets

Hailing from the city of Philadelphia… Meet; Kevin known as Kev-Gee$, Christian known as Chris Bars, and Isaiah aka Ike Ease. The dynamic trio formally makes up the Hip-hop super group The War Vets. The War Vets bring a rather different style of hip-hop from being from the north section of the USA but can appeal to each and every corner of the world!

Their story begins sort of different, from most artists. From around age 7-10 is when they recognized their talent with rapping. Because the three, were so wrapped up in their childhood, rapping was pushed to the back burner. Mimicking artist like Kriss-Kross, Kid-N-Play, and Immature, was just about the only thing they did. “We didn't take rap serious at first because we were athletes growing up.” Occupied with sports from elementary to high school; Kevin, Christian, and Isaiah didn’t have time to explore the world of music. The trio was known for their skill in the popular sports, Football & Basketball. Upon completing high school the three of them decided to entertain the journey of music. In 2006 Kev, Chris, and Ike (abbrev. Names) began taking rap more serious. A couple months after rapping again, the three managed to release a highly successful mix tape on Veterans Day that year. Since then their career has sky rocketed. After hard work & dedication the group was signed to DEKA records on December 3, 2008. Deka records are located in Pheonix Arizona, and the War Vets are the FIRST group from Philadelphia/ Metropolitan area under that label. This magnificent group has been successful in winning battles on Philly’s own 100.3 The Beat Radio station, and has appeared on Philly’s Hometown Jamz 100.3 The Beat.

The War Vets have been traveling all over the United States. Most recently they’ve performed at, Six Flags Great Adventures, both New Jersey & Atlanta, Clementon Amusement Park in NJ, The Trocadero Philly,Pa and Clark Atlanta University in Georgia. With traveling this group has had the pleasure with working with noble artist such as; Freck Billionaire (cbl/dessert storm) Young Steff (Atlantic records), and The Broad street music group (Bryan Michael Cox music group).
