Bio

The Washing Machine, a band from Lódz, Poland, is gaining more and more recognition on the Polish music market. Since 2007 they have been touring regularly and continuously, giving Polish audience a chance to get to know them during a wide variety of events, from small club gigs and radio concerts to performances at major festivals (including Jarocin Festival , Pepsi Vena Festival, Red Bull Tourbus, May Music Festival, Woodstock) or while supporting bands like The Subways, Glasvegas, Ulterior.

The breakthrough came for them in 2010. In April, as the only Polish band, they took part in concerts organized by the British record companies and media which aimed at presenting young and most promising bands. During the "UK Promo Tour" they performed in London (O2 Academy) and Liverpool (legendary Cavern Club), where they were presented to people responsible for the success of such stars as Madonna, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs. They brought rave reviews from there.

That same year their debut album with an original score or the silent film "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" was released (www.myspace.com/twmfilm) and met with a wide audience acclamation.

The long awaited album by the band, titled "Into the Sun", was published by the Polish Radio in November 2011.

Journalists have written about it:
"...It's just a decent piece of modern rock and roll."
(Robert Sankowski - Duzy Format)

"..."Into The Sun" is a refreshing collection of songs."
(Jedrzej Slodkowski - Gazeta Wyborcza)

"...This is one of the best Polish rock albums that appeared in the last few months."
(Robert Filipowski - Teraz Rock)
