The Wave

 Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA
BandJazzBlues

A nice mix of smooth jazz, fusion with some blues mixed in done with class and taste. The focus is on the musicianship. We are tight and entertaining. We also touch upon the Great American Songbook and do some classics, as well as some danceable R&B.

Biography

The
Name:

Due to our love of SMOOTH JAZZ, the name “Wave” was derived from
the thought of sitting on the West Coast and watching the “waves”
while listening to smooth jazz... Contrary to popular belief, it has
nothing to do with waving hello or goodbye...

The
Players:
Due
to his immense love for music and especially smooth jazz, bassist
John Christopher decided to enlist the help of his good friend
guitarist Roger Harris to put a group together. We decided to enlist
the help of our other friend drummer Craig Rankin and John's
childhood friend, Saxophonist Rich Ranaglia, and the players were in
place. All of the players work in other ensembles, but this group
was made from a labor of love, because we all enjoy and respect each
other and what each of us do. Wave is available to work as a trio or
quartet.

The
Music:
Wave
plays a mix of smooth jazz, blues, pop and swing music, all done with
our own twists. The music is enjoyable and fun, and the players enjoy
playing it and entertaining the audience.

Venues:
We
are capable of entertaining for private parties, corporate events, or
at any night club that prefers a variety of music.
