A trippy alt/pop band from Los Angeles, The Way Out's blend of pop, funk and alt. rock puts them in the company of other musical genre benders as Beck, Cake, Lenny Kravitz, Gorillaz and Prince.
In the 90s, Philly-born producer/singer/songwriter Doug Elkins drove out to Los Angeles with a 4-track. a guitar, an amp and anything else he could fit in his Toyota Corolla. He soon found himself working in Los Angeles recording studios with a veritable who's who of Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop and R&B artists. These experiences, besides giving him a collection of platinum records and album credits, gave him the means and the methods to map out his own purely original musical vision.
Bassist Arcadio and drummer Eric soon joined in to help bring the music to the masses, so to speak. The end result is a brand of music funkier than your Grandpa's tubesocks and a band that never fails to rock the house.
