The Weather Duo

The Weather Duo initially formed under the name PatBenataur to play a basement concert in a lineup with rock bands. The combination of two large, wooden instruments coupled with amplification and electronics intrigued and fascinated the audience. After too many cover requests, they have since changed their name and gone on to play in coffeeshops, art galleries, bookstores, taverns, living rooms, and more basements. From accompanying spoken word artists acoustically, to creating electronic soundscapes in cafes, the Weather Duo is an incredibly versatile ensemble. They are now studying as an electroacoustic chamber ensemble with Professor Mark Hetzler at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and working on composing new material and arranging performances of pieces from the 20th and 21st century.
