Bio

The Wells is a trio rock and roll band out of Montreal. Their fusion of influences produce an eclectic mix of hard driving rhythms, melodic harmonies and poignant lyrics to create a sound to live by. You havn't heard this sound before.

The Wells were formed in 1998 in Montreal after a long history of friendship between the three members Chris, Rick and Naze. They were determined to work independently and to write and perform music on their own terms. They wanted to get back to the roots of Rock’n’Roll and rock out in the pubs.

In March 2000 The Wells released their debut CD “where Anything Goes”. That summer they went on tour of the Maritime Provinces with the help of Kevin Gault who had co-engineered the CD.

In the Winter of 2003 they followed up with thier second CD, self titled The Wells. "The Wells" was recorded in the Eastern Townships in a farm house attic. They followed the release with a tour of Southern Ontario, "Tour of the South Tour", that Summer.

Most recently, in the fall of 2005, The Wells released thier third album, "This Evening Tonight!".

The Wells songwritting draws from a number of influences. They strive to create music that has a natural vibe. They are able to break free from the traditional limitations of what a rock band sounds like due to the fact that they create a melange of many different sounds. Their sound is a folky cornucopia of groove, vocals, and backbeat. They create an old school vibe by sharing an emphasis on melody, lyrics, harmony and natural sound.

Their music is continually changing and developing. While seeing new places and meeting people they are able to both spread their music and draw from new inspirations.
