The Whale And The Wave

 Winter Springs, Florida, USA
BandAlternativeSinger/Songwriter

The Whale And The Wave is an indie/pop solo project with melodic, catchy chorus's with movie inspired depth and power. The music has been compared to Dashboard Confessional, The Spill Canvas and City And Colour but has originality all its own. One listen and I'm sure it will be stuck in your head.

Biography

The Whale And The Wave is a project by me, Christopher Lee Robertson; A 20-something year old artist originally from Northeastern Connecticut, now residing in Orlando, Florida. The music I play has been compared to such artists as Dashboard Confessional, The Spill Canvas and City And Colour. It is sometimes electronic sounding, sometimes rock sounding and sometimes just an acoustic guitar and vocals. I write songs of hope, of love, of heartbreak and of remembering a time when nothing mattered but being a kid and having fun. I began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 15 and have played in numerous bands along the way. I intend to play music until the day I die and anyone that knows me can tell you that it is my life.

Lyrics

Keep Chasing Stars

Written By: The Whale And The Wave

And I know why you've been coming here. To say that you love you have to give up fear. Not that I am the big bad wolf but it's the unknown truth.

*CHORUS*
SO KEEP CHASING STARS AND KEEP FIGHTING WARS AND I'LL BE HERE WHEN YOUR GOOD AND DONE AND WE'LL KEEP HAVING FUN.

And I am sure I'll miss snow next year even though I can't wait to move away from here and we'll start a new life where it's warm and we can learn.

*CHORUS*

And I could stand here and say this but I wear my love on my heart in a necklace and they'll tear this up when I'm good and dead but they'll know what I said.
