The White Soots

 Dayton, Ohio, USA
BandRockBlues

The White Soots are from Ohio, a hotbed for all that is good in music lately. The White Soots music can best be described as The Black Keys grew up in the southern part of the US, take their style and infuse some Led Zeppelin into it. No Danger Mouse produced into it either and you get The White Soots.

Biography

The White Soots are a blues/rock trio from Dayton, OH. The band formed in early 2009 with brothers Kyle(Guitar/Vocals) and Kraig Byrum(Drums) and longtime friend Karl Benge(Bass) and began playing in clubs in Dayton under the name Fuzz Hound, which was changed to The White Soots after about 1 year of playing. They specialize in a bluesy, psychedelic mix of guitar infused rock and roll.

The Dayton City Paper wrote the following regarding The White Soots- "Although new to the Dayton scene, these seasoned musicians breathe vitality into a blues-rock platform that draws equally from Austin, Akron and Detroit."

Lyrics

Watch The Horizon

Written By: Kyle Byrum

your machine is taking over my land. cant you see that they have tied our hands. and when you try to go to sleep at night, dont you know theres gonna be nobody to fight for you. oh watch the horizon.

when the mornings peaking through the trees, youre boots are wet the waters to your knees. you feel it now you havent slept for a week and the drones are coming you are all they seek. oh watch the horizon

when you lay down, you will not sleep, when you lay down you will not sleep

If I Go

Written By: Kyle Byrum

when you're released how you gonna do. covered so long, can't take the world. what will you do, what will you do if i go.

cover your fears, fend for yourself. you gotta learn the way, looking for the road. what will you do, what will you do if i go.

how you gonna watch your back, when your daddy's gone. you're gonna see the world and you'll be all alone. what will you do, what will you do if i go. if i go.

Ghost

Written By: Kyle Byrum/Karl Benge

on a cold october evening, they said you were all alone. the way things turned out later, little did he know. tried to be a good man. you would not let that do. sure can make a man pay, oh pay for trusting you.

now he is left with nowhere to hide. you killed him woman deep down inside. and he is left with nowhere to go.

came in through the back door. saw that strange face. couldnt believe his eyes, been done such a disgrace. so rather than apologize all he could see was red. the gun shot and the blood poured. he came out second best.

now he is left with nowhere to hide. you killed him woman deep down inside. and he is left with nowhere to go.

Dont Shoot

Written By: Kyle Byrum

she laid down the line. gotta do it right. tears for words now breaking through my soul. i changed my name, just cant get it right.

hey man, dont shoot. you know i dont wanna die

you see her in the lobby. she seems so clean. shes made her bed now and now she wants to sleep. she'll say anything to get what she wants. to get what she wants.

hey man, dont shoot. you know i dont wanna die
