Bio
The Wild Deer proudly hail from New York City. They don’t try to sound like any band but themselves. Their name — a direct reference to both the 14th century Persian poet and mystic Hafiz and William Blake’s The Auguries of Innocence — should let you know...these guys are it.
The Wild Deer’s individual nationalities reflect the roots of rock. England, Ireland, Brooklyn and Queens. Who can mess with that?
The Wild Deer have it all. Radio play: WXRP 101.9 FM, Q104.3 FM, K-Rock 92.3 FM, and Brookdale Community College public radio WBJB 90.5 FM The NIGHT. Commercial licensing; Telecom Italia “For My People”, ESPN’s Nascar Now!/ “Rise” (both from their debut cd Live Free ). The song “River of Soul” was included in the New York Post list “207 Best Songs to Download from 2007.” The New York Post also gave away the song “Grass” On their MPFREEs Web site column during November of the same year.?
