Bio

The Wild Ones band was formed in 2000 by veteran vocalist Rick Lindy after 5 years as lead singer for Big Guitars from Memphis. The Wild Ones retro rock sound is a dynamic blend of acoustic and electric instruments that is both energetic and moving, and always just right. They perform as a four-piece band for festivals, clubs, parties, restaurants, and bars, or as an acoustic duo with upright bass and guitar for smaller venues. The band recorded their first CD entitled,
“Wild Side of Town” in 2001 and were asked to tour Europe that spring which landed them a record deal with Flipside/Amigo Records in Oslo, Norway. The recording received favorable reviews all over Europe, which lead to another tour and another studio album entitled, “American Dream” released in 2002. They are currently writing and recording their third album, scheduled for release in spring, 2009. The band features Chicago music veterans Eric T Stoliker on upright bass, (The Hip-Noz, , True Story, Everett Dean) Dave Eliot on lead guitar, (The Mysterians) and Joe Smith on drums. (Johnny Star and the Meteors)

The Wild Ones are managed by radio personality Scott Mackay, formerly of 94.7 FM, True Oldies, currently on 95.9 FM, The River. He plugs every show on the air and the band promotes all gigs with posters, table cards, and heavy e-mail distribution.
The Wild Ones perform all around the Midwest, and in the Chicago area at venues such as Navy Pier, Concerts at The Sears Tower, The John Hancock Building, Green Dolphin Street, and The United Center. The best thing about this band is the tremendous energy and emotion they generate…
Let the Wild Ones take you to THE WILD SIDE of TOWN!!!
