"The Wildwood Band Review"

Attitude is right folks. The Wildwood Band has a rock 'n' roll attitude not felt since the drive-in was dominated by movies by James Dean. Groovy bass and garage rock blues dominate while The Wildwood Band stirs up trouble. Bad ass harmonica is a perfect part to this steaming recipe of old time rock 'n' roll and jazz blues. Good Stuff

"Magazine Review"

I'm generally not a big fan of the rockin' blues. I like bluesy rock 'n' roll not the other way around. And Doug Wood & friends are definitly playing the blues with a rock 'n' roll beat. For some reason, though, they seem to have gotten it right.
One of the main reasons it works, I suppose, is that the music is played with a light hand. There's no forcing the sound into a corner, which leads to an easy melding of styles. And then there's Wood's harp work, which is simple and yet unrestrained.
If you're familiar with Steve Miller's pre "Joker" output you might have an idea of whats going on here. But there aren't a lot of guitar pyrotechnics, just an emphasis on solid songwriting. Which might be why it makes me smile so much.
Nothing complicated. Just good music played with steady hands. Sometimes thats all you need to settle into the groove. - A&A#278

Bio

Headed up by singer/songwriter, The Wildwood, this high energy band hails from Santa Cruz ,Ca. with their first CD (BAD ATTITUDE) of original tunes released in late spring '06.
A basic blues-based rock 'n roll band, these up
tempo musicians include thirteen new songs (Baby's In Black the exception) written by the Wildwood . With a tongue- in- cheek "bad boy" theme prevailing,
"Bad Attitude" is off to rave reviews, radio airplay, and film consideration.
(see Press)
The Wildwood has teamed up with three young UCSC music major sensations (AJ McKinley, Ryan Hubert, and Alejandro Quiroz) to form his best sound yet .
Appearing as a special guest, vocal dynamo Suzanne St. James heats things up on "Locked Up", "Breaktime" and "Fast or Slow". Prepare for fun. All originals copywrited 2006.
