The Wild Young Hearts

BandRockAlternative

Combining the sounds of Phil Spector, The Ramones, & The Beach Boys, The Wild Young Hearts write songs that make you feel young again, while bringing back that sense of youthful rebellion that made you fall in love with music in the first place. The Wild Young Hearts are here to save Rock & Roll.

Biography

The Wild Young Hearts was created in Los Angeles by a few friends from San Diego. Singer/Guitarist Robb Laffoon moved to LA in the summer of 2012 to pursue music fulltime. He moved in with an old friend from back home, Justin David (Guitarist). The two started working on material Robb was working on, and eventually enlisted the help of another friend from San Diego, drummer Kevin Pintado.

The three hit the studio to record their first ep, released in January of 2013. After a few months of searching around for a fourth member, the guys finally found bassist Garrett Warren, to complete the group.

The band has played all sorts of venues across southern california, and they released their second ep, Pretty Girls, in June.

The Wild Young Hearts play a distinct brand of Rock & Roll that is both familiar and totally new at the same time. The band is influenced by legendary artists like The Beach Boys, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, & The Ramones, as well as more modern bands like The Strokes, Green Day, Blink 182, & Weezer.

In a musical landscape where Rock & Roll is fading into obscurity, The Wild Young Hearts are here to shake things up.
