The Wreckly J's are a self procalimed "SPUNK ROCK " band (Southern-Punk) mostly in the energetic style of Jason and the Scorchers-Social Distortion type rock..
The fearless leader of the band is Wreckly J. Lamar was known for his high wired antics in the 70's punk band "WRECK'N CREW" but has now strapped on a guitar and formed this band 3 years ago to much accalaim and 'buzz' for their ripping guitar/harp oriented live shows..They have played several festivals and showcase clubs and have excellent refrences from all club owners, soundmen/and promoters that we have played for..
Our influences range from Chuck Berry-Johnny Thunders/New York Dolls, to Brian Setzer, Mike Ness, and Tom Hambridge. The Wreckly J's all hail from the same upstate area of Cortland/Ithaca N.Y., and tho the median age is 45 they still out perform most younger bands regulary..They are professional, easy to get along with, no ego -local boys who just love to rock and let it show..
