the xya

The brothers Hamilton, Joe & Josh, along with life long best friend Rob Alfred formed 'the xya' in the summer of 2000 to add their collective contribution to the modern Rock scene. After a few months of searching & auditioning front men the 3 found their lead talent in Mike Scott, a guitar convert from the band 'Spindler's Dream'. After a few years of writing, recording & performing their music for the masses of their Central Ohio town the band spilt in June of 2003. About 6 months later Joe, Josh & Rob became familiar with Jason Schirtzinger, a multi-musical talent from the band 'DayFall', who became their front man. The new look & sound 'xya' carried their music out to the local watering holes in C Bus in early 2004 & met with much acclaim. By mid year however Jason & the band had decided to part ways reintroducing former front man Mike Scott back into 'the xya' fold. The final result of all of this is a band of four good friends, time & trial tested, & critically approved by the show goer's of Columbus Ohio.
