Sonic swirling forces pushing the importance of hooking melody present themselves as an unified front courtesy of the Yeah Nahs.
Boasting a hefty pedigree from previous seminal perth pop outfits such as Verona, Superscope, Avid Grey & Wilberforce, this current outfit has been impressing local audiences for well over 18 months. Finally their debut release, a self titled 6 track CD is ready to initiate those who are still unaware or to be snapped up by those in the know.
Recorded at Kingdom & Destino Studios over 8 months and mixed/masted by Kingdoms legendary Dom Monteleone.
Respectful nod of inspiration to bands such as Swervedriver, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, Interpol, Posies, sees the Yeah Nahs stamping out their own brand muscling of bending pop courtesy of the distorting guitar work of Gareth Parsons and Wil Barquero coupled with the resolute underpinning bass lines of Derryn Murphy and the accurately belted skins from Jason Barfoot.
Come to the launch of the CD on Oct 20 at the Amplifier bar, Perth. A hot supporting lineup in tow with Halogen, Sugar Army and IL Capininahs.
