Bio
David Bell 22, Ross Papitto 21, Alex Cordova 21, and Jorge Sanchez 23 have been performing, writing, and producing original music for eight years, playing all over the state of Florida under different monikers and garnering a modest following. While songwriting has always remained at the forefront, The Young Hookers are a self-contained group of accomplished players, vocalists, and arrangers who have written for and produced other local acts.
David Bell, a Miami-born son of a Scottish family has come to be known throughout the south Florida music scene as a songwriter and up and coming producer of rock and roll records. He is a gifted yet disciplined multi-instrumentalist fluent in piano, jazz bass, percussion, guitar and string arrangement. David Bell is the drummer, producer and backbone of The Young Hookers.
Ross Papitto hails from sunny Plantation, Florida and is schooled in the art of rock guitar. He seamlessly melds jazz, metal, blues and punk styles to create a refreshingly new sound that is uniquely his own. Adventurous, bold, and creative, today he plays lead guitar for The Young Hookers.
Jorge Sanchez was born a songwriter in the dusty southwest, penning songs steeped in country, blues, folk and soul. An experienced guitar player, prolific wordsmith, and a voice dripping with vintage rock and roll flavor, Jorge is here to entertain you.
Alex Cordova is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter born into a talented family of musicians and performers hailing from the island of Puerto Rico. With a background in drumming and Afro-Cuban percussion, he is also a talented guitarist, bassist and vocalist. Alex is one half of the driving rhythm section featured in The Young Hookers.
