BandHip HopR&B

The Young Messengerrzz spawns the birth of the new age Soul-jah. Delivering the rawest and realest in conscious hip-hop with unparalleled precision. Profound lyricism intertwined with blazin beats, create a mesh of metaphoric messages like a sacred code waiting to be cracked.

Biography

Born and raised in “Dred Scott City” better known as St. Louis, Mo., brothers Darren Douglas (a.k.a. “Professor”), 25, and Christopher Douglas (a.k.a. “The Analyzer”), 21, began developing their skills as emcees at the ages of 11 and 7.

Even in the early stages of their growth and development, audiences everywhere were captivated by their awesome ability to relay positive and uplifting messages in their songs and as a testimony to their profound lyricism and commanding stage presence; they were appropriately given the name “Young Messengers”.

In 2002, after becoming educated on the many ill conditions surrounding the structure of the entertainment business, the Young Messengerrzz launched their own independent label “Black Gold Entertainment”, and by November 2004 had recorded and released their first self-produced project entitled “Self Analysis”.

Their goal is to deliver the rawest and realest in conscious hip-hop, untainted and uncensored by the corporate "puppet masters" of the music industry.

In their intense struggle for liberation they exercise the power of the spoken word combined with melodious grooves and electrifying beats that ring out like an ancestral call to raise the dead among their “Black Afrikan” people.

The core of their music is centered on spirituality, God consciousness, social and political awareness and “black nationalism”. Their mission is to awaken their people to the right knowledge of themselves, their history and the awesome power that they posses as a people through the medium of hip-hop music.

Dry Bones

Written By: The Young Messengerrzz

Dry Bones

Chorus
We coming over the mountain
Down to the valley of the Dry Bones
(Rome is burning tonight)
We coming over the mountain
Down to the valley of the Dry Bones
(Are you ready to fight)
We coming over the mountain
Down to the valley of the Dry Bones
(Tell the army to rise)
We coming over the mountain
Down to the valley of the Dry Bones
(Our blood will be your demise)

Verse1
Mighty, mighty Babylon; Sodam & Gomorah
With the replicated formula
Lethally injects the drugs in to my blood
See this life for what it is and what it was
Dry Bones, in the valley where winds blow
I see reverse evolution in slow-mo
Burning like it’s on in the days of Rome
And the devil still stalking, a dead man walking
Keep on talking; making your noise
Politic’n with the “good ‘ol” boys (laugh)
I got something for ya; a little story to tell
So tell the children that its time to rebel
We bout’ to raise up, or pay a heavy price
To be a slave for life that ain’t nothing nice
I got my souljah’s behind me loading up the cannon
And ready for liberation from the chains of the dragon
Get off your knees I’m ready to raise some hell
And I told you that my soul ain’t for sale
See I’m a man, so don’t you play me like no child
I’ll take you out like some fast food; service with a smile
Ya think I’m buck wild, but my nature is strong
I got a history as rich as the day is long
And I’m a put it on ya; bout to break you in half
Young Messengerrzz; Moses and Aaron with the staff

(Chorus)

Verse2
I’m about to go and panic reprimanded
Frantic, sanded on the Atlantic
Hispanic, Dominican, Asian, or Indian
One in a million says that you wasn’t killin’em
And one in a million says that I ain’t feelin’em
In this pain that we share in this game
We ain’t asking for blame y’all we looking for change
400 years only thing that’s changed is the strategy
Pay close attention to anatomy
Don’t get mad at me, it’s a tragedy
Look at the faculties look at the casualties
Look at our facilities but you don’t look you glance
Won’t even give us a chance to advance
So we do our dance; the dance of the devil
That puts us in a trance on a whole nother level
Where the only thing we fear is knowledge of self
And obtaining wealth is more important than health
(Move!!! The dead is risen so lets ride)
(Move!!! We coming down on your blind side)
(Move!!! The dead is risen so lets ride)
(Move!!! We coming down on your blind side)

(Chorus)

Guerrilla Warfare

Written By: The Young Messengerrzz

Guerilla Warfare

Verse1
We got guerillas on lock, coming with the consciousness
Warriors on a mission to live and die for this
Bringing the truth to separate the marrow
From the bones of a modern day Rome
Mystery Babylon is burning to the ground
Deep in the battle zone, tonight it’s going down
So cover your ears if you don’t wanna hear the sounds
Of Black Gold Souljahs; beats by the pounds
We war with the devils in the high places
Armed with the suits and ties and pale faces
Carry green papers in the leather briefcases
And they can’t shake it; hearts full of hatred
Born to lead America to destruction
Living in the Wild West tell me whats your function
Greed and corruption, your word means nothing
Can’t be trusted, the devils been busted (laugh)

Chorus
We got guerillas on lock
Shutting down shop
Up and down yo block
Make yo body drop
Get it real hot
Cause I can’t stop
Take it to the top
And show me what you got
If you don’t know
We about to blow
Got the paper straight
Pockets on swoll
It’s Black Gold
This is how we roll
Souljahs on the battlefield
Burning my soul

Verse2
You don’t wanna get bit by this mighty king cobra
Souljah in training his crosshairs is aiming
Three inches across my chest, the rest is up to God
My vest is slightly modified, to decide and decipher
Whether or not to fight ya, Whether or not to bite ya
I’m paying the pied piper, whatever I choose I loose both ways
Time out, time in, grind out, grind in, lights out I win
Now you see who’s on top, you see who never flops
You see who never stops but it’s not me; it’s he
As matter fact, if you see me in the streets
Don’t act like you know me, act like you owe me
Cause the blood I’m bout to spill is real
I’m not trying to make a mill (Fo’ Real)
But if I do it’s Ok, cause I’m a die anyway
It’s in the Klan’s plans to drive wooden stakes through my hands

(Chorus)

Verse3
Are you ready to rumble to Mike Alstott; I rarely
Fumble my lyrics, can you here this the sound of the bomb
No this ain’t Vietnam, it’s a simulation revelation of deprivation of a nation
Planets collide; causing mass suicide, take a ride on the wild side
I ready to ride or die, but you just wanna smoke and get high
So lets buy some time sorry there’s no time left
Nor are there many minds prepped
Black fist represent, strong black militants
Amo lock and load liberate your brains
Playtime’s over, mighty king cobra
Bit you with the fangs, venom in your veins
Time to make it rain no time to entertain
Guerilla Warfare Cont.

Ashes to ashes; ya burning in the flames
We ain’t playing games
These streets are getting gritty
I think I smell smoke in the city

(Chorus 2x)

Black Diamond

Written By: The Young Messengerrzz

“Black Diamond”

Verse1
(First I…)
Thank grandmother for the womb that bore me
A Black Diamond made for the eternal glory
Backbone strong, of the family the cornerstone
Ya Asantewa, powerful like a cyclone
Queen on the throne; let the truth be known
The Black Woman’s on a mission, once again its on
In the red zone, you survive incredible odds
Cause you just can’t fight the right hand of God
Do away with the malice and restore the balance
Queen mother of the village brings peace in the palace
Goddess of the cosmos, warriors stand post
To die for the honor of the treasure we love most
A life giver, liberator, emancipator
The manifestation of the will of the creator
Soul survivor, spiritual elevator
A counselor to kings you be, no one is greater

Chorus
Black Diamond you shining
I see your light so bright it’s blinding
Black Diamond you shining
The woman’s on a rise, so divine and flying
Black Diamond you shining
I see your light so bright it’s blinding
Black Diamond you shining
The Queen’s on her throne
Let the truth be known

Verse2
Ya not just a diamond in the ruff
You a diamond that’s tuff
You a diamond I can trust
You a that’s cut and don’t take
No stuff don’t try and call her bluff
She can jack you up when
She says that’s enough
No other woman on the planet
Takes the power and demands it
With the fears reprimanded
From a people that were stranded
On a land; handed to us
By the great Amen-Ra see him
Smiling at us, but now he’s frowning at us
Cause the oppressor undressed ya
Professor confessed the sins that was dealt
Our egos are too big to look at ourselves
And euro-centric thought got us feenin' for help
They got cha posing in thongs
Yes I’m saying its wrong
Black Woman you’re strong
Listen to your song
I wouldn’t be here today if not for mama
Listen to her will save ya lots of drama

(Chorus)

Verse3
As a Black Man I’m honored just to be in the presence
Of Black Diamonds, greater than the stars in the heavens
Souljahs on the war-path Bringing the wrath
You feel the heat now; She’s in the streets now
And the fires are blazing, its just so amazing
How your spirit was strong enough to carry generations
Only reason I’m here is because of your tears
And your sacrifice, cause you died to give me life
You died to give me life, you died for what’s right
Black Woman, Black Diamond whoooo you outta sight
(We need some real live souljahs to take us through the night
Hit’em hard hit’em fast and turn out the lights)
See you the antenna that God wants to bandanna
See you make me listen to get God’s permission
For brothers out here that just think that I’m rhyming
No, I do this for black women, Black Diamonds

(Chorus 2x)

(Outro)
You will always be the Queen N’zinga (4x)

O' Lawd

Written By: The Young Messengerrzz

O’ Lawd

Chorus
Now let that rhythm hit ya (O’ Lawd)
Yeah we gonna get cha (O’ Lawd)
Its feeling good to ya (O’ Lawd)
But you don’t get it do ya (O’ Lawd)
Now do you here me coming (O’ Lawd)
You better tell me something (O’ Lawd)
Cause its a mighty day (O’ Lawd)
You here the people say (O’ Lawd)

Verse1
Hey yo I’m copping up and dropping these streets back
Hearing our beats is like hearing an 8-track
Can’t rewind that, but at the same time
It’s like “Burger King” have it your way
In a deuce-and-a-quarter wit ya order
Sitting in the drive-thru window
Better yet a Ford Tempo, back in 85’
That’s when I was born to a world that was torn
But my parents they was warned
Of these devils that performed
We was sold and was told that the globe
Was our foes, but now-a-days everybody’s
Got they Calicos’ and holes in they clothes
Cause we ain’t got souls, and drove on a road
That was closed cause a show, must go on
To the break of dawn, what you gotta understand
Is your not a hustler, if you got one hustle
Put the pedal to the metal and the strength to the muscle
Now I can trust you
Eversince Jigga Man dropped the “takeover”
Johnny come late the “Bling” game’s been over
Remember what I told you, cause we be dropping bombs
At www.youngmessengerrzz.com
If it don’t make dollars, then it don’t make sense
But you gotta have the sense to make some dollars out of “cent”
Now if you ain’t a real hustler, then I just confused ya
Get out of this game cause the snakes will use ya

(Chorus)

Verse2
See in the beginning there was the passion
Everlasting, fasting in the season of Ramadan
And clashing with demonic forces, burn’em wit torches
And of course the visuals are graphic when I’m at this
Recover the truth in patches and practice
The articulation of mathematics in action
Blast cats back to the future
My legacy is written in stone, let the truth be known
I got the heart of a lion, face black as a tomb
And I’m coming with a whole platoon to seal your doom
Manifest destiny of the refugee survivors
Alive and hotter than lava, causing drama
For you and your mama like a saga
No commas, or pauses, the victory’s flawless
The blows from a black fist leave you jawless
I’m dying on my feet like a man regardless
Of the programs, “Brohams”, and “Hambones”
Playing wit yourself leave them devils alone
They bringing poison in ya home
Straight to the dome, straight to ya throne
COINTEL tapping your phones
Now leave me alone because I’m deep in my zone
And if I tell you its right, then you gon’ tell me its wrong
And then were back to the scrappin, the banging and battling
I can look into ya face and tell ain’t nothing happening

(Chorus 2x)

Kombat

Written By: The Young Messengerrzz

Kombat

Chorus
Scream; Shout; this is Kombat
We bomb cats for Kontact
Scream; Shout; this is Kombat
If you feel that then holla back
Scream; Shout; this is Kombat
We bomb cats for Kontact
Scream; Shout; this is Kombat
Bringing it back so where you at
(“C’mon Blackman” repeated during last section of hook)

Verse1
We chasing collars not dollars (What)
We tuning out scholars (We)
Respecting the fathers (Hey)
You see me now holla
This is Kombat we like close contact
We bomb cats and ain’t talking bout Nam cats
Saddam cats and ain’t talking bout him either
Its’ lethal ether, with the pay of a school teacher
They call me preacher, resurrected in past times
I see the filed clear but its covered in land mines
I could change my mind but my people are so blind
We running out of time and we got so far to climb
I’m losing my mind as well as my heart to the game
And I think it’s a shame how we can’t maintain
Even our brains in these lanes on the highway
Asking everybody else “Yo, you going my way”
Now that’s child’s play, talking bout foul play
Look at your soul my brother it’s getting wobbly

(Chorus)

Verse2
I saw a vision of slaughter over the waters
With Sons & Daughters running for the hills
I feel the pressure; the students will soon become professors
The true successors never aspire for the lesser
Generation X, who’s next to test the fearless
Cold world, I so numb you got me tearless
Throwing stones at tanks full-speed; when I bleed
I Break’em down on they knees; spread’em out like grass seeds
And go to war with the devil,
I guess it was just in my blood to be a rebel
Against the grain, but still feeling the pain
And still feeling the strain
But now they see we don’t express it the same
Like chess every move is strategic believe it
Round up your posse and take whatever’s needed
Opposition is bringing the heat just like friction
So pickup your cross and be ready for crucifixion

(Chorus)

Verse3
This is a battle filed
With the real deal Holyfield
No concussions or discussions
Repercussion are felt
So stop your cussing and your fussing
That ain’t even gone help
And why you rushing I can crush’em
Man just give me my belt, and I can wear that tail out
Make’em scream and shout and see what your about
Have’em swimming with trout after just one bout
So get out of my face and give me my space
Or better yet a place to meditate
So I can go contemplate and try to anticipate
If I’m gonna hesitate, or maybe just sit and wait
For you to come violate and make a mistake
On your half that brings wrath
Ask me why I’m so mad; do the math
You act bad and talk trash it’s so sad
In my lab my pad my knife
In my world, this music is my life

(Chorus)

Verse4
Crowns of thorns and bloody foreheads
Scorned like the unborn, un-dead, un-bread
So who said I gotta die to go to heaven like 7 days in a week
So meek when you speak, and you never spit for the streets
Look out for your almighty Benjamin’s’
The faces of dead white men for rims and Tim’s
And begin the Holocaust; lost tribe of Shabazz
Multiplied by 25,000 in street mass
Divide and conquers’ the game of the global monster
Aim at the strong bloods and take’em off the roster
Now holla back if you can follow that
Bad dreams of bad schemes on my own team for “getty green”
Slave mentalities bring about the casualties
Force you to fall back and reinvent your strategy
War vets ain’t dead yet we got the remedy
We loading up the amo to blow away the enemy

(Chorus 2x)

YMP

Written By: The Young Messengerrzz

YMP

Chorus
YMP we ready to rock
Coming down on these devils
If they ready or not
(Are you making it hot)
We making it hot so
Put your gloves on sucka
Let me see what you got C’mon
YMP we ready to rock
Bout to clown on these devils
If they ready or not
(Are you making it hot)
We making it hot
Black Sheep put it down
Cause the beat don’t stop

Verse1
Time for the cipher session, deep thoughts leave impressions
Of aggression, my profession anit-opression, never tolerated
But its mandated, master-mind calculated, holy spirit desecrated
Chrome-platted weapons for the warriors, I be the notorious
Glorious, so surprised you’ve never even heard of us
Resurrected like the great Horus, in this chorus I will sing to you devils
Lullabies of the apocalypse, sink ships with loose lips, out of amo, change the clip
Power struggle, do the hustle, lift them weights and flex your muscles
We got souljah’s on the double, bring the beef if you want trouble
We got whole Platoons that’ll split ya dome and bust your bubble
So feel the rumble in this concrete jungle,
Cause its on like a pot of neck-bone when we tussle
Busted and bloody knuckles, we scrap in kombat
And we bomb cats for contact whenever we need that
Oh no we coulda sold mo and shoulda
Wit rhymes that stank mo than feet and barracudas
Track that kick mo Jackie Chan and Buddah
And a set that more crunk than little Jon and Luda
Back when I was young, we didn’t spit about guns
But we was taught to run if you ever heard a gun
Shot go off, be careful the cops go off
Run the wrong direction
Catch a spare weapon in the melon

(Chorus)

Verse2
Hey everybody, I got some nice toddy
Mix some lemon juice wit honey
And stir it up in ya body
The copy imitation, who is ya fakin
I put some seeds in ya brain
While you sitting there waiting
I caught you flat footed, with a right hook
I gotta pull your teeth to make you read a book
I gotta tape your eyelids to make you take a look
Drop messages in songs with catchy hooks
I ain’t talking to them yo I’ m talking to black folk
Supposed to be my kin folk, but you scared of info
Well maybe if I take it slow give a year you never know
Maybe true colors will show
Then they’ll see that black folk back on the map
And ready to attack with this slack on this back
You know we ride the backs of our Ancestors
We trying to protest ya
Give us lessons let us learn from the professor
Cypher, cipher I be the piper that plays the tunes
To keep you dancing on the moon with zero gravitation
High-speed revolutions be the author of confusion
As I’m seeking restitution to escape the plantation
I seek no integration; neither assimilation
I will build a mighty nation that will stand in isolation
And make it hurt, cause we know
Freedom’s never been free
So I put the fear of Ra into the souls of emcees

(Chorus 2x)
