The Young Revelators

The Young Revelators are a rock trio from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They summarize their sound simply with one word: stank.

Guitarist Alejandro Martinez and drummer Francisco Frank Martinez are brothers who grew up playing music together since they were kids. Originally born in Hammond, Indiana; they were exposed to a lot of blues, rock, folk, and Latin music from an early age. Alejandro began playing guitar at age 11 and Frank picked up the drums shortly after around age 12. After high school they formed The Young Revelators with the intent of creating a modern conglomeration of all the music that they loved, and played as a two-piece for about six months.

 The group finally got a permanent bassist in neighborhood friend Ben Michalski who joined the group in May of 2013, after being persuaded to buy a bass guitar and learn the bands songs. All three of them have lived together in Milwaukee since August of 2013, where theyve been constantly practicing and have gotten better show opportunities, residencies, as well as local radio play in the past five months. They have also released a Demo CD of new music that was recorded in their basement on the night of September 21st, 2013 by Behind The Weekend Production which is available for free download through Soundcloud or Facebook.

Their future aspirations include buying a van and setting up a lot of shows, meeting bands who would be willing to play when passing through Milwaukee and vice versa, and recording their newest material on a vinyl or possibly an EP where they get to spend a more time trying to make something a little more fine-tuned than the Basement recordings from September.
