Thick as Thieves

Composer/guitarist for Thick as Thiefs, Mario "cut his teeth" in Navasota, the "Blues Capital" of Texas. Like most musicians Mario started out doing the cover band circuit. A few of the cover bands Mario worked with won "Texas World Speedway Battle of the Bands", were featured on MTV Basement Tapes, and shared the stage with national music acts. In 2000 Mario cut his first album "Human Sacrifice" with the Christian band "Big Methuselah". The band had limited success on Christian Indie radio, television, and video shows in the USA. They were also featured on "7 Balls Top 20 Unsigned Artist who Rock" along with multi platinum artist "Mercy Me“and ”Pillar". A couple of years later Mario recorded an album with singer/songwriter Rohn Bailey. He worked with the Rohn Bailey band performing at various events, venues, and music ministries in the north Texas area.
Mario has also worked with Phillips Craig & Dean, The Power and Authority Mass Choir, Dorothy Norwood, Susan Gray, Robert Silva, Cynthia Green, and MTV pop diva Makaila.
Mario released his first solo album "Sojourn" in 2005 followed by the release of "Voodoo Groove" in 2007. He continues writing music for Thick as Thiefs and occasionally performs at select events/venues in Texas.
