Bio
Thinline is a band. A metal band. How do you sum up a band within one of music's most love-it or hate-it genres?
Well, when a group of guys focuses on pounding, relentless metal with a refined edge for 11+ years, interesting things happen. The story arc starts in 2001, with a rough, brutal edge laced with speed and thrash for thinline's first self-titled release. Follow this up with a more straightforward approach including vocal melodies and some acoustic experimentation with Keep it Fed in 2005, a tribute to Columbia's then vibrant metal scene.
2011 saw the release of A Time and a Place. This was a sort of a closing out of an old era, including the song "Whole", which features one of thinline's catchiest riffs, then jumps completely off the deep end with the frenetic "Sally Forth".
Come back around to 2012: Enough screwing around.
Thinline is back to a full-on, balls-out approach, featuring Mastodon-like drums, Lamb of God-esque guitars, and vocals that evoke Anselmo in his heyday.
Come get some.
