"Stick It to the Man (Girl Trouble)"

There are some nights when it seems like males outnumber the females at local bars 33 to 1. On those evenings, a night of entertainment might consist of ordering a potent cocktail and watching mating rituals unfold as a pack of intoxicated menfolk try and strike up a conversation with the lone woman at the end of the bar. Tonight, the entertainment will be superior to observing drunks and the odds will even out a bit when Third Eclipse takes the stage at the Lava Lounge. Featuring three sisters backed by a male drummer, Third Eclipse play punishing metal ("To You"), Distillers' style punk rock ("Insecticide") and poppier fare ("Thinker"). [Stuart Thornton] - Monterey Coast Weekly 11/05

"Punked by Girls | Third Eclipse at the Cherry Bean"

What do you get when you mix three sisters (including two redheads) passionate about punk, thunderous guitar riffs and a big-haired drummer named Miguel, add enough energy to make Gwen Stefani blush, and sprinkle lyrics that range from rowdy to reflective? You get a vitalizing version of the Distillers with a look and feel original enough to block out the sun. [Mark C. Anderson]

Bio

It started like this. Three well-behaved sisters felt like a change. So Christine, Beth and Faith started a band. Their group took many shapes and sizes, not all of them ones to be proud of; but the girls had a vision and nothing would stop them. Years went by and their childish dreams turned into reality. Their sound changed from sweet melodies and keyboard violins to thunderous guitars and vocals that could buckle knees. And when Faith, who was the murderous drummer, could no longer play, she gave the sticks to newcomer Miguel and joined her sisters up front; thus completing the formula for one of the most promising bands you'll ever hear.

Look out for Third Eclipse's new album, Guest Parking Only (recorded with Grammy-winning producer Jeffrey Cohen), in the next couple of months!
