Third Iz

Born and raised in Rosedale, Queens NY, I go by the name Third Iz. Queens as a whole is a melting pot that introduced me to a variety of cultures, including hip-hop. While this was a beautiful thing, I was also introduced to the harsh realities of the real world; a world of oppression and inequality. Whether it be from police abusing their power or everyday racism that lead to nothing but anger and insecurity, writing poetry as an adolescent allowed me to paint the world around me; that was my escape. I decided that I would not sit by and watch the world burn. I would instead speak up for the voiceless, stand up for the meek, and demand the change that we all deserve.
