Bio
Third Rail Boot was started by former Shrinking Violet singer/guitarist/composer Matthew Stitt during the spring of 2003. Alone in New York only armed with a small 8 track recorder, lots of coffee and some borrowed mics, Matt wrote, recorded, and mixed the 8 track Royal Ave EP in his loft at home. In the fall of 2007 Matt joined up with Christos and Tom to take these and many new tunes to anyone willing to listen.
Some influences include Wilco, Son Volt, R.E.M., The Who, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Paul Weller, Guided by Voices, Muddy Waters, and Gram Parsons.
